The Tri-County Gundog Association is a non-profit organization (registered with the province of Alberta) operating primarily within the combined boundaries of the County of Newell, County of Forty Mile and Cypress County.

The primary purpose of the organization is to help people in the pro-active training of their gundogs to help in making the whole bird hunting experience more enjoyable for both the handler and the dog.

Tri-County has also set an aggressive goal for itself in the role of attempting to engage more youth in the sport of bird hunting.  Part of this goal is to maintain open communications with organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, and various Alberta Fish & Wildlife Chapters.

Other goals are to promote hunting partnerships, help educate new bird hunters on discovering what kind of dog they are best suited for.

This club also supplies pigeons for training purposes that can be purchased by members at the cost of $3.00/bird with all proceeds going to the club.  Pheasants and partridge will also be purchased as training birds for sale to club members in the near future.

Thanks to Sustainable Resources and Land Development, Tri-County has access to several sections of land for training purposes.  We also have permission from other land owners to use private property as well.

The Tri-County Gundog Association offers "year round involvement, enjoyment, fellowship and training in the sport of birddog hunting." We also encourage and welcome "All Breeds and stages of training!"
